What Information is Collected (1) Required Information:  As part of the keepthesweep registration process, our Members are asked to provide their name, e-mail address, postal address, birth-date, credit card information, phone number, gender and password.  We use this information to process membership and contact Members about their claims.  Consequently, it is very important that you complete the registration page with valid information.  As set out in our Terms and Conditions, the name you register with must be yours to collect on taxes.  We occasionally send new information about our Company and Website to our Members. (3) Information From Third Parties:  In addition to the information provided by Members, keepthesweep.com may also collect information about Members from third-party sources.

Use of Information (1) E-mail Communications:  If you send us email with questions or comments, we may use your personally identifiable information to respond to your questions or comment, and we may save your questions or comments for future reference.  For security reasons, we do not recommend that you send non-public personal information, such as passwords, social security numbers, or bank account information, to us by email.  However, aside from our reply to such an email, it is not our standard practice to send you email unless you request a particular service or sign up for a feature that involves email communications, it relates to purchases you have made with us, we are sending you information about our services, or you consented to being contacted by email for a particular purpose.  You may “opt out” of receiving future commercial email communications from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of most emails we send.  However, we reserve the right to send you transactional emails such as customer service communications. (4) Legally Required Disclosures:  Due to the existing legal, regulatory and security environment, keepthesweep may be required, under certain circumstances, to disclose aggregate level and/or personally identifiable information about our Members.  We will use the best reasonable efforts to limit such disclosure to the following:  where keepthesweep believes in good faith that it is required to do so in response to a subpoena, warrant or other legal process; where reasonably required to do so in order to maintain, update or otherwise implement keepthesweep’s data security measures, equipment, technical operations and the like; or where reasonably necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action (outside of the legal boundaries of the current Terms and Conditions) against persons or entities to preserve and/or enforce our rights.  Further, we can, and you authorize us to, disclose your Member identification, name, street address, city, state, zip code, country, phone number, email, and company to third party agents or keepthesweep as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy or other unlawful activity or activity that expose us to legal liability. (5) Claimants:  As set out in the keepthesweep.com’s Terms and Conditions, each potential claimant will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, release of liability an publicity, including, but not limited to, the use of claimant’s name, hometown and photograph without additional compensation (where lawful) which must be signed, notarized and returned within sixty (60) days of receipt of prize awarded or the claim will be forfeited and the potential claimant will be disqualified.  Each claimant’s name, city and state of residence may be shown on the KeeptheSweep Website within thirty (30) days after we receive the proper documents.  Except as provide in this section (4) and subject to the exceptions in section (2), KeeptheSweep will not provide any other personally identifiable information about claimants. Children’s Online Privacy Protection The features, programs, promotions and other aspects of our Website requiring the submission of personally identifiable information are not intended for children.  Our services are not directed to or intended for anyone not considered a legal adult.  KeeptheSweep will not knowingly accept Members not considered legal adults and relies on the truthfulness of the registration when accepting new Members.  In the event that keepthesweep receives information that establishes that a Member is not a legal adult, keepthesweep reserves the right to terminate the membership or take other steps that it determines are appropriate in the circumstances, such as providing parental notification.  KeeptheSweep may also delete all information in our databases about that terminated Member.  If you believe keepthesweep has any information from or about anyone not considered to be a legal adult, please fill out our contact form.

Keeping Your Information Secure KeeptheSweep undertakes substantial efforts to protect the confidentiality of the identity , preferences and other information it has collected about individual Members and will not knowingly allow access to this information to anyone outside keepthesweep other than to the Member or as described in this Privacy Policy.  Please be advised, however, that while we strive to protect your personally identifiable information and privacy, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us online and are not responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your personally identifiable information.  In the unfortunate event that your “personally identifiable information” (as the term or similar terms are defined by any applicable law requiring notice upon a security breach) is compromised, we may notify you by email (at our sole and absolute discretion) to the last email address you have provided us in the most expedient time reasonable under the circumstances; provided, however, delays in notification may occur while we take necessary measures to determine the scope of the breach and restore reasonable integrity to the system as well as for the legitimate needs of law enforcement if notification would impede a criminal investigation.  From time to time we evaluate new technology for protecting information, and when appropriate, we upgrade our information security systems.
